#SHH Daily 2 April
Problem pitching tonight, hackathon kickoff tomorrow, how to prepare your team, Figma and meet Rohit
Hi everyone,
Welcome to all who have recently joined Stay Home Hack! What you are reading is the best way to keep up to date with SHH as we get ready to kick-off our first hackathon tomorrow. Let’s get straight to it!
💡Problem pitching tonight
On Tuesday we had 6 teams pitch their problems and we’ll be running another session today.
When: Today 2 April at 6pm Sydney/AEDT
Where: Join us on Zoom
If you have a problem and are looking for a team, you will have 2 minutes to speak about your problem and who (skills/experience/etc) would make a great fit. If you’re looking to join a team, reach out to the presenters with any questions and feedback and get involved!
📺Replay: “The secret recipe to managing a team at hackathons”
Yesterday Angela from Hackathons Australia ran a session with a load of essential tips and tricks for succeeding with your hackathon team. Watch the replay on our Facebook page!
🎨An offer from Figma
We’ve been using Figma for many of our SHH creations, and I’m excited to let you know that Figma is extending an offer of 6 months free access to the Figma Professional plan to our Stay Home Hack teams as part of their COVID-19 response. All you need to do is apply here and make sure you mention “Stay Home Hack”.
👏 Meet Rohit
Rohit Bhattacharya (LinkedIn)
I am a Data Scientist, based in Singapore. I joined in as an organiser to get all the data nerds in Singapore to solve problems while we practice social distancing in the midst of the Covid-19 outbreak. Happy to collaborate and learn from everyone out here.
DM me your profile to be featured here in the future. Include your name, photo, LinkedIn or Twitter URL, and briefly what you do and why you’ve joined SHH.
Please keep sharing Stay Home Hack (https://stayhomehack.com) with your friends and networks! And you can always DM me on Slack if you have any feedback, questions or want to know how to get involved.
