Hi everyone!
I hope you are all staying safe and staying home in this incredibly challenging time. I’m really glad that you’ve chosen to be part of the #StayHomeHack community.
We represent hundreds of brilliant minds from around the world, and we’re all here for one thing: to help our society stay connected, productive and healthy.
We are entrepreneurs, innovators, experts in our fields, business owners, engineers, designers, analysts, scientists, researchers, marketers... you name it we are here.
#StayHomeHack is not your typical weekend hackathon.
Our events exist to provide structure for finding teams and solving problems, but our community is here to help you always.
We’re here to make a real difference, and as a community we support each other to do so.
I look forward to seeing what emerging and important problems you come up with, and helping you to bring your solutions to life in the weeks and months ahead.
🗓 Upcoming events (open to everyone)
Thursday 26 March 6pm (Sydney): Ideation session (Zoom link here)
Tuesday 31 March 6pm (Sydney): Open pitch session - 2 mins to share your problem and attract a team!
Wednesday 1 April 6pm (Sydney): Workshop - Learn how to manage a remote hackathon team
Friday 3 April 6pm (Sydney) - Sunday 5 April 6pm: Our first hackathon!
💡What makes a great problem?
Think about who is impacted by your problem: is it a lot of people? is it really painful to them? is it an otherwise under-served area of society?
We have 3 community focus areas:
Stay connected: how can we keep people communicating? how can we enable remote options where there we none before? how do we solve for certain scenarios, activities and events?
Stay productive: how can we make sure things get done? how do we enable people to work? how do we look after things at home?
Stay healthy: how do we keep fit? eat well? manage finances? maintain and develop relationships?
Please keep sharing Stay Home Hack (https://stayhomehack.com) with your friends and networks! We’ll be bringing you some fun things to post on social media over the next few days. And you can always DM me on Slack if you have any feedback, questions or want to know how to get involved.
Take care and stay home ❤️
