Hi everyone!
I hope you’re all well and staying safe. I know that you are all experiencing the current crisis in different ways as it relates to your home and work and lives, and we are here to support you.
You will be noticing lots of problems around you and I welcome you to bring them into our community to solve.
With our first hackathon beginning 3 March at 6pm Sydney/AEDT, I wanted to share how you can get the most out of Slack as teams and problems come together.
💡 If you already have a problem and need a team
1. Search Slack for keywords related to the problem to see if others are talking about it in #problems
2. Search Slack for the skills you need for your team and reach out to people based on their #intros
3. Post in #asks if you’re still looking for people to join you!
4. Join us on Tuesday and Thursday on Zoom and pitch your problem! (links coming soon)
🔍 If you’re looking to join a team
1. Browse #problems and see what people are discussing that interests you
2. Browse #asks and look out for what people are requesting and see if you can help out!
3. Join us on Tuesday and Thursday on Zoom and listen in to the pitches and reach out to those of interest! (links coming soon)

I am a Graduate in the Front End Development team for Deloitte Digital in Sydney. I got involved in StayHomeHack because I believe it is crucial in this moment to stay connected and find solutions for those who are struggling through this time.
DM me your profile to be featured here in the future. It’s a great way to help find people to work with! Include your name, photo, LinkedIn or Twitter URL, and briefly what you do and why you’ve joined SHH.
Keep sharing SHH with your friends and networks. Keith Lang has made a series of awesome graphics you can share. I’ll be including these in tomorrow’s update but you can take a look in #resources on Slack already.
Stay safe ❤️
