Hi everyone,
Today is the day. Our first remote Stay Home Hackathon kicks off officially at 6pm AEDT. If you haven’t yet found a team or problem to work on, it’s not too late! This daily edition covers everything you need to know to get involved.
🗓 Events calendar is live
We have various Zoom calls and submission milestones to help you stay on track and see what everyone else is up to, starting with a Twitch kickoff at 5pm AEDT today (see below) and finishing with final presentations at 4pm AEDT on Sunday.
For those without a team or problem yet, there is another problem pitching session at 6pm AEDT.
All of the relevant links and information is in the calendar, and there may be small updates over the weekend which we will announce on Slack too.

You’re welcome to work with your team throughout the hackathon however you like, but we recommend using Zoom (it’s free) for calls and Slack private channels for chat.

I joined SHH to shine a light on the amazing work happening in the community. When times are tough, people gather together. It’s often said innovation is born out of necessity. Well, we’re certainly facing interesting times, and there’s a lot of challenges people are dealing with. SHH is a way for people to connect socially in this time of physical distancing, and to work together to solve global problems. I wanted to be part of that, support people’s efforts, and give back in the best way I can. For a hackathon like this, that’s ensuring people around the world know that there’s people out there who care, are working on solutions, and are staying socially connected during this turbulent time.
DM me your profile to be featured here in the future. Include your name, photo, LinkedIn or Twitter URL, and briefly what you do and why you’ve joined SHH.
Please keep sharing Stay Home Hack (https://stayhomehack.com) with your friends and networks! And you can always DM me on Slack if you have any feedback, questions or want to know how to get involved.
Take care and stay home ❤️
